Alberta NUANS Name Search Report

Whether your goal is to proceed with an Alberta incorporation, or to change the name of an existing Alberta company, the first step is to obtain an Alberta NUANS® Report. This report allows the Registrar to determine if there are companies with exact or confusingly similar names already registered.

All names are pre-searched at no cost as a way to determine if an exact match exists. If a conflict shows up we will contact you and suggest alternatives that may be suitable.

Legaldeeds Alberta NUANS® Reports are $45, payable in Canadian dollars. Your report will include an opinion letter on the suitability of the proposed name. Reports are prepared by our affiliate in Medicine Hat Alberta and shipped by Express Post the next business day.

The Alberta NUANS^® Name Search Report is valid for a period of 90 calendar days. Whether you need the report for an Incorporation, or for a formal Change of Name, you must act within the 90 day period.
